The Smyrna Tree Board and Trees Atlanta hosted this week’s
Summer Reading Program Tween Event for 8 to 12-year-olds. Participants took an
urban hike in the City of Smyrna Arboretum, adjacent to the library, and
learned how to identify some of Georgia's native trees.
In keeping with the summer’s them of “Every Hero has a
Story”, students also learned a new super power - “how to talk tree”- and
became Tree Heroes!
